Renting a Bike

Learn how to choose between the Day and Dash rental plans, start a ride, and get going.

1

Find a Bike

Find a bike near you using the Map page on the mobile app. Once you're near your selected bike, open its Rental Plans page.

2

Choose Rental Plan

Select between the Day and Dash rental plans. Learn about the difference between them here. Alternatively, you can see additional information about each plan on the Rental Plans page in the mobile app by tapping the info icon next to each one.

If one or both of the rental options is/are grayed out, the bike may not support that rental plan, or you may need to link a payment method or top up your wallet if you have insufficient funds.

3

Start Ride

Tap your preferred rental plan, and if necessary, agree to the conditions shown. Your ride has now started.

4

Unlock the Bike

Use the code shown to unlock the bike. The code can be found on the Home page under the Active Rides section. On the bike lock, find the two bumps on either side of the dials/tumblers - these are the guides for inputting the code. Turn the dials/tumblers on the combination lock such that the code is displayed in line with the guides. You should be able to read the code from left to right on the lock. Once this is done, pull the two sides of the lock away from each other and they should come apart.

5

Secure the Lock

Once the lock has been taken off the bike, close it again by connecting the two sides together and turning the dials/tumblers so that it stays closed.

Then, check if the bike has a lock holder on the seatpost - it's a small black piece with a red button. If it does, press down the red button and slot the extruding piece on the lock half way into the holder. Then, release the red button and make sure the lock is properly secured in the holder.

If the bike does not have a lock holder on the seatpost, wrap the lock around the handlebars where it connects to the bike frame and then close the lock.

6

Go

The bike is now ready to ride! Learn where it can be used and how to get on/off campus here.
